Gold Rush isn’t just one show, but a whole franchise that takes over Discovery every Friday night (or whenever you want, if you’re streaming). Of all the shows that make up the world of Gold Rush, “Dave Turin’s Lost Mine” might be the most heartfelt - particularly in its third season.

We all go through our own tragedies and triumphs, and as a storyteller, my job is to figure out how to make those moments relatable to the audience. I think each of these pieces captures that universal connection, that we’re all a little like Dave and his crew in the struggle before finally striking gold.
